Operator - Coudersport

The Operator position is based out of Kinder Morgan's Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) Compressor Station No. 313 located at 197 Tennessee Road, Coudersport, Pennsylvania 16915. This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced Pipeline Operator, Operations Specialist, Railway Conductor, Railway Engineer, Control Room Operator, Reliability Operator, Process Operator, Terminal Operator or similar. Primary Purpose: Under close supervision, performs unskilled maintenance and/or construction of the pipeline, the right-of-way and grounds around pipeline or other facilities. The Operator is trained in operating and monitoring station equipment through manipulation of station valves, piping, engines and ancillary equipment to control movement of natural gas into, out of, station and pipeline systems. This position requires working rotating 12-hour shifts (starting at 7am or 7pm) to support plant operation at the compressor station. Typically requires more than three years of Natural Gas Gathering Pipeline and Facility operational experience. Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for the operation of compressors, engines, auxiliary units, motors, cooling equipment, pumps, seals, valves and related equipment.Responsible for monitoring and controlling process variables, such as pressure, temperature and flow rates to efficiently achieve desired operating results.Start, stop and operate engines/pumps and other equipment to maintain designated operating parameters.Assist in the planning and performance of maintenance and repairs on compressors, engines, turbines, auxiliary equipment, pumps, process controls, and related equipment.Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all gas processing units and associated equipment.Monitors quality of product to ensure meeting specifications and takes appropriate actions when out of specification product is identified.Communicates with company gas controllers, business groups and other operating groups as necessary.Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.Identify report and correct safety and environmental concerns.Train company and third party personnel as required.Represent the Company during contacts with landowner/tenants and public officials/emergency officials.Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.Work a rotating shift schedule.Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.Actively participate in safety and security program and initiatives.Participates in the development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans.Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
Position Requirements
Job Qualifications:Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software).Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).Working knowledge of mechanical equipment.Detailed knowledge of compressor/pump station, storage field, and processing plant operations.Detailed knowledge of gas and liquid processing theories and fundamentals.Experience analyzing, adjusting, and making minor repairs on compressor engines, pumps, process facilities and associated equipment.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high pressure systems.Knowledge of company policies and practices, and regulatory and tariff requirements.Good verbal and written communication skills.Customer focus.Ability to work with a teamTake direction from Supervisors.Keep required job schedules.Focus attention on details and follow work rules.Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.Must respond to, and address, callouts and emergencies after regular business hours.Be available for shift work Education:High school diploma or GED Licenses:Valid Driver's license The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
